Education Abroad Program (EAP)

UC Riverside's Education Abroad Program offers undergraduate students an excellent opportunity to study business in an international environment. Through EAP, you can increase your understanding of the global economy by directly experiencing how other nations conduct business. You can investigate how local differences in culture, politics, and financial systems impact international business and trade. Ultimately, the knowledge, skills, and cross-cultural perspectives you gain on EAP will help you succeed in an increasingly diverse and fast-paced world.

UCR has partner universities all over the world, including:

  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Denmark
  • Egypt
  • Ghana
  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • Japan
  • The Philippines
  • Singapore
  • South Africa
  • The United Kingdom
  • Vietnam

Information about EAP Courses

  • All EAP courses are transferable, including grades and units.
  • No EAP course is guaranteed to be comparable to a UCR requirement until the syllabus is articulated by faculty upon the student's return from an actual EAP experience.
  • For an EAP class to count as a BUS course, it must be upper division, be worth 4 or more units, and be based on principles and theory of business. Note: Courses must not be specific to the country they are visiting, but can be international principles and theory of business.
  • No matter how many units over four the course is, three separate courses are required to satisfy the 12 units for the undergraduate business administration electives.
  • Transfer students from other four-year universities who want to participate in EAP should note that 50% of business course requirements must be completed at UCR.
  • Students should meet with their advisor after they have chosen their country and courses to discuss course articulation.
  • If the student is not returning to UCR after EAP for full-time enrollment in 12 quarter units, the student must make an appointment with their advisor to petition to waive senior residency.
