Introducing the Nu Rho Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi

“The dedication and hard work of the over 40 student members has gotten us here. Their endeavors have made Beta Alpha Psi a reality." – Dean Wang

This month, the Nu Rho Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi was installed at the School of Business Administration here at UC Riverside.  Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is a national honorary organization for accounting, finance and information systems majors.  There are over 300 chapters in the United States, with over 300,000 members initiated since it’s formation. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.

The Installation Ceremony was attended by the President-Elect of the national organization, Merle Hopkins, and the west region chapter advocate, David DeBoskey, who read the charter and initiated the over 40 new members of the Nu Rho Chapter.  Dean Yunzeng Wang introduced the festivities by recognizing that SoBA has grown over the years. SoBA is proud to note that we are the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system. Each year we graduate over 600 students from our various undergraduate programs. SoBA now joins the ranks of other prestigious universities, which have a Beta Alpha Psi chapter.

After two years of petitioning, the Nu Rho Chapter is honored to become the official Nu Rho chapter of Beta Alpha Psi.
