Happy National Entrepreneurship Week!

National Entrepreneurship Week is to celebrate the entrepreneurs who are the foundation of our country. We will be highlighting our very own alumni who became entrepreneurs after graduating UCR. From creating their own jewelry line, to opening their own financial firm, we are proud of our diverse group of alumni entrepreneurs.

Delyn Chow

Delyn Chow (MBA’09) is the owner of Daw Yee Myanmar Café, which opened in 2013 in Monterey Park. Since then, he has been nominated as a finalist of 2014 Asian Business Awards and has expanded his business to manufacturing, marketing, selling and distributing packaged food to a major Asian market chain.

He is the owner of Frice, located in the University Village, and Sweat Dreams Tea & Desserts in San Gabriel, CA. Denghui had no past experience in the food industry or even had plans to open up his own business, but he bought the existing business as a part of his strategy to save him time and significant amount of capital.

“I’m learning by doing, so I’m still learning how to run food businesses. I remodel both businesses with my new ideas on the businesses.”
