Curriculum Vitae , updated 06/2017

Tim’s research broadly investigates the role of individuals in firm performance and strategy. This includes exploring the micro-macro links between individuals and organizations, and necessitates studying the organization at all levels, from its boundary, design, and governance structure to the motivations, social pressures, inter-job mobility, and health of its employees. He has primarily focused on three settings to date: 1) Industrial laundry, 2) Residential real estate, and 3) EMS service providers (e.g., ambulances). His work has been nominated for multiple awards, and one of his dissertation papers was awarded the Robert J. Litschert Best Doctoral Student Paper at the 2015 Academy of Management Annual Meeting. His work has been published in top journals, including Organization Science and Psychological Science, and has been featured in many news outlets, including the New York Times, Forbes, NPR, USAToday, the Huffington Post, and the Business Insider.
