Tim’s research broadly investigates the role of individuals in firm performance and strategy. He has primarily focused on three settings to date: 1) Industrial laundry, 2) Residential real estate, and 3) EMS service providers (e.g., ambulances). His work has been nominated for and won multiple awards, including the Robert J. Litschert Best Doctoral Student Paper at the 2015 Academy of Management Annual Meeting, and the Sumantra Ghoshal Research and Practice Award at the 2017 Academy of Management Annual Meeting. His work has been published in top journals, including Management Science, Organization Science, and Psychological Science, and has been featured in many news outlets, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, NPR, USAToday, the Huffington Post, and the Business Insider.
